Biography: Pegah Alaghband

Pegah Alaghband was born in Tehran in 1983. She graduated in 2006 from the Azad University of Tehran with a B. A. in painting. Her painter's eye allows Alaghband to capture the tenderness of nature in its glory. She captures moments of exquisite silence in nature to allow her viewers the peace and quiet nature offers in dire contrast to the turbulence of city life the viewer is involved in. Alaghband has participated in several group and solo exhibitions including the 145th international exhibition of
photography in Edinburgh, England. She has also won several prizes including the Labkhande Omid prize. Pegah Alaghband is presently living and working in Tehran.
