
Biography: Banafsheh Ahmadzadeh
Born in 1971 in Iran Banafsheh Ahmadzadeh began her artistic career in her early adolescence from which time she has been a member of the Association of Children’s Book Illustrationists of Iran. In her career as a book illustrator Banafsheh Ahmadzadeh has been awarded many prizes in her native land including the first prize of the Dream and Illusion Exhibition of Iran, 2001, the first prize of the Koranic Art Exhibition, 2002, and first prize of the National Museum of Koran, 2006. Likewise, this painter has participated in exhibitions outside Iran including the Bratislava Exhibition, 2003, and the Belgrade Exhibition, 2004. Banafsheh Ahmadzadeh is an experimental painter and enjoys dabbling in a range of works from book illustrations to portraits to abstract nature paintings. She is presently living and working in Tehran.
